Low Voltage/Low Power & Sensor Applications

The research in the group deals with the Low voltage and Low Power issues in Analog circuit design. Modern technology in Analog circuit design faces lots of design challenges due to the scaling down in the feature size of the transistors, and the increasing need for low power portable devices. This research group aims in bringing about new design topologies that are compatible to the existing process technology while complying with the low power requirement. The research in the group is target various fields like Communications (RF Design), Bio-Medical Applications (sensors, Bio-Comparators), Displays (Buffer for column drivers in a LCD Panel) etc.

The groups' work is reflected in the new frequency compensation techniques for low voltage Operational Amplifiers  (NGCC, NCFF etc), rail to rail amplifiers, multipliers, MOS interface-trap charge-pump based circuits, etc. Current research is focused on low voltage Multi-Stage Operational Amplifiers , Analog Filters and Tuning, I/O Rail-To-Rail Buffer Amplifiers, sensors etc.
